AlgarveBliss Albufeira the perfect family holiday destination

The name says it all and was easily chosen when we decided to buy our little family holiday home in the Central Algarve of Portugal. If you are considering a family holiday in or around Albufeira in the Portuguese Algarve, why not consider renting this beautiful luxury ground floor apartment overlooking the magnificent central pool area Orada Apartments holiday resort.

A slightly elevated view overlooking the central pool and relaxation area of Albufeira Marina ApartmentsFrom the veranda of our apartment you will look directly onto the main central pool area of Orada Apartments and enjoy breakfast in the warmth of the Portuguese sun. Being ground floor you will have one of the more private areas of grass where the children can play and you will still only be  a few steps away from the main and children's pools. Munch your way though the very inexpensive locally produced oranges and if you like fish, some sardine pate on toast and an espresso to get you going.

Our apartment is also our holiday home so you will find it very well equipped with all creature comforts and perfect for your family vacation. Please read our accommodation page for full details of what you will find and the extras and essentials you will not have to worry about packing.

Albufeira is the perfect destination for a family holiday with quiet beaches and respectable night life. The Portuguese love children and you will find families welcome wherever you go. The quaint Old Enjoying a meal at Albufeira Marina Apartments and overlooking the marina wharf Town of Albufeira and it's evening street markets are only a short 15 minute walk away from Orada Apartments.

For those who have limited mobility or walking difficulties, you will be pleased to know that Orada Apartments is served by a frequent local “Giro” bus service. There is a stop about 50 yards from reception and the service runs every half hour daytime and evening. The service is inexpensive and runs to just about anywhere in the Albufeira area, click here for more information.

The government controlled taxi service is another option and rates per car are around €1 per Km.

Orada is a purpose built holiday and vacation resort with, as you can see, plenty of space for relaxation and sunbathing. The reception building has various facilities including a cafe and bar, reading room, games room, bicycle hire and internet access.

The Orada resort adjoins the new Albufeira Marina where you will find restaurants and bars along with shops, ATM's and other facilities. For extra night life, market stalls, entertainment and hustle bustle you will find the Old Town of Albufeira is only a short walk away. Most of the apartments on Orada are privately owned although not all are privately let family homes so if you are not renting from an owner then accommodation standards may be lower. Availability can be very limited especially in the summer months due to this envious location and setting.

The adjoining Albufeira Marina boasts water sports, restaurants and shopping. You can book all those boat trips to the caves and attractions of the stunning Algarve coast, romantic cruises, jet-ski’s, diving and fishing trips right on the Marina right on our doorstep.

“The apartment was everything we expected and more. Lovely decor, great extras (entertainment system) & comfy beds. Loved the complex and ideally situated if you don't want to be in the hustle bustle of the old own. The complex is relaxing as is the marina but we also loved the Old Town. We would definitely come again. Thanks”
